Need help or found a bug?
When reporting a problem, please include your device model, iOS version, app version, what you were trying to do, and the steps that caused the issue.
Scanning problems
Make sure camera permission is enabled for OpenDoc-Scanner in iOS Settings. For better results, place the document on a contrasting surface and use even lighting.
Where are my documents stored?
OpenDoc-Scanner is designed as a local-first app. Your scans and document data are stored on your device unless you explicitly export or share them.
Exporting and sharing
You can export supported documents as PDF or images and use the iOS share sheet to save or send them to other apps.
OCR and text recognition
Text recognition can help extract and search text from scans. Results may vary depending on image quality, lighting, language, and document layout.
Permissions
OpenDoc-Scanner only needs access required for the feature you use, such as camera access for scanning and photo access when importing images.
Privacy
OpenDoc-Scanner is built around privacy and offline-first document workflows. Core scanning does not require an account, and the app does not add ads or watermarks to your scans.
