Overview
OpenDoc-Scanner is designed as a privacy-focused, local-first document scanner. Core scanning, document management, editing, OCR, and PDF workflows are intended to operate on your device.
Documents and scans
Your scanned documents, imported files, generated PDFs, thumbnails, and related document data are stored locally on your device unless you choose to export or share them using system sharing features.
Accounts
OpenDoc-Scanner does not require an account for its core scanning experience.
Advertising
OpenDoc-Scanner does not display third-party advertising and does not add advertising watermarks to your documents.
Camera and photo access
The app may request camera access to scan documents and photo-library access when you choose to import or save images. These permissions are used to provide the requested feature.
OCR and text recognition
Where available, text recognition is performed as part of the app's document-processing features. Recognized text may be stored locally with the related document so that you can search or copy it.
Sharing and exports
When you explicitly choose to share or export a document, iOS and the destination app or service you select may process that file according to their own privacy policies. OpenDoc-Scanner does not control third-party services selected through the system share sheet.
Data collection
OpenDoc-Scanner is designed to avoid unnecessary collection of personal data. If future versions introduce any service that changes these practices, this policy should be updated before that functionality is released.
Children
OpenDoc-Scanner is a general-purpose document utility and is not specifically directed to children.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as OpenDoc-Scanner evolves. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
